Happy 4th of July!!!

I can't believe that another 4th of July has come and gone. We had a blast today. Each year my mom's ward has a big neighborhood breakfast, bike parade, and a program. The girls had such a blast last year, that we were excited to go again this year.

We woke up bright and early this morning and got to my mom's house about about quarter to 9. We went to the church and decorated the girls trikes. The ward had a huge breakfast and program...complete with the Pledge of Allegience and the Star Spangled Banner! My mom was so kind to take the girls to make the giant bubbles...yes, soap was everywhere! But who cared...it's what the 4th is for!

The bike parade was about to begin...Scott took Maddy up to her trike and then, she decided she didn't want to go! We think that she wanted to be first in line behind the fire engine, but that's ok. She came back and finished her breakfast. Then she decided that she wanted to ride her trike. She went up and down the street with a huge smile on her face. Xan also decided that she wanted to go, so when Scott took her to her trike, she got on it, went about 5 feet, and said she was done...hence why we have no pictures of her on her trike!

Maddy got her face painted, the girls made bracelets and necklaces, got to make giant bubbles and had a blast. I also ran into one of my old friends Nowell Whittaker. It was great to see him and his darling family. Too bad I didn't have Scott take a picture...I am lame.

We went back to my mom's house and just relaxed. It was a great day! We hope that everyone's 4th was as fun as ours!!!!
PS...where would we be without a picture of Xan, yes, picking her nose!!!!
Happy 4th of July!!!!
