Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas morning came and went however, the snow kept coming, and coming, and coming....

My mom spent the night with our family. Santa made his way though the snow and the girls got up with excitement to see what gifts came to our home via the sled. They enjoyed ripping through the wrapping paper, however Tommy enjoyed eating the wrapping paper.

There were many favorite moments, however one of my favorites was when Xan came out to see if Santa had eaten his cookies...well, he had, however he did leave a piece of a cookie. What did Xan do, she ate Santa's leftovers! It made her so happy.

Santa also brought the kids masks...Maddy, a cat, Xan, a dog, and Tommy, a dragon. I have never enjoyed watching the kids wear these as much as I did! Tommy didn't realize until much later that he could take it off. He had the mask on for a good 30 minutes. Once he realized that he could take it off...we weren't able to get it back on. Luckliy, we were able to get some shots
with him in it.

Ok, so I mentioned that it snowed...well, every Christmas for my whole life, we have gone down to my Grandma's home and celebrated the holiday with my mom's family. This year would be no different...however, with the amount of snow...there was no way that we would be able to get out of our driveway. My mom was determined to get there, so it took her and Scott an hour to dig her out of the driveway. The good news, she made it to my Uncle's house and at the end of the day, made it back home. We were very sad to not be able to go, but there was no way that we would have been able to make it. My mom was also very concerned with the kids and wanted us to be safe.

Another favorite moment...Tommy received a glow worm...now keep in mind, Xan had one of these and loved it...so much that it eventually got to the point where even batteries wouldn't make it work. Xan was about 4 months old when she got hers. As Tommy opened his...Xan came over and showed him how it worked. The first look on her face was like she found her long lost friend. She ran into her bedroom and grabbed a picture of her and Maddy...in the picture was the worm. It made me cry to see Xan so happy to see her friend and so happy to help her little brother know how it works!

Maddy was slightly disappointed as she really wanted a Nintendo DS...she even asked Santa for one. Instead, he brought the girls a V-Smile V-Motion...she has enjoyed playing Kung Fu Panda and the other games. We love that it is educational and fun at the sametime.

We spent our Christmas at home watching movies, playing games, and having a great time together as a family.

We hope that everyone had a joyous holiday!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
