Wow! It's finally here! Christmas was so great this year. My mom slept over at our house and was here for Christmas morning. Scott and I were still sleeping when Maddy came into our room to get us. I told her that we needed to get Xan up before we could see what Santa had brought. My mom was up by this time and was in with Xan telling her that Santa had been here. Xan was scared because she thought that Santa was still here! We ensured her that he had just left presents and was gone. The girls came rushing out and, of course, the first thing that they went to were the cookies and milk to see if they were gone. Santa had brought Xan a big stuffed dog and Maddy a guitar and camera. The girls had a lot of fun opening their presents. We had a great Christmas morning.
After breakfast and opening gifts, we got ready for the day and headed out to my Uncle Dave's house where my Grandma was having her party. Each year, my whole life, we have gone down to my grandma's house (mom's mom). It is a great tradition that I enjoy. It is fun to see my cousins, aunts and uncles. We had a potato bar for lunch and after that, we left to go up to Karen's house for dinner. We had a great time at both places and are so greatful for everyone and everything that they do for us. The girls, and us, were so tired by the end of the day. We were glad to get home, and get ready for bed.
